The Sewer Crew position works with the Sewer Crew Lead to ensure that the township sanitary sewer lines and pump stations are well maintained, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The Sewer Crew team member may also assist with public works projects as needed.
Successful applicants must meet all the requirements of the position description including a high school education, or equivalent; possession of a current Pennsylvania Driver’s License; basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; and the ability to lift and move objects up to 40 – 50 pounds. The Sewer Crew team member will also need to obtain the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Wastewater Certificate with the guidance of the Sewer Crew Leader. This position also requires obtaining a CDL during employment at the township.
This position will require working outside regular business hours including weekends as well as other weather and system emergencies.
The Permit Clerk supports township operations by assisting the Zoning/Planning Department with the administrative responsibilities including data entry, records management, customer support; verifying completeness of permit applications, zoning hearing board applications and planning commission applications; compiling reports; meeting minutes and meeting advertisements; clerical duties and general office duties.
Successful applicants will possess the ability to research applicable codes and regulations and apply them to specific plans and situations, have experience with Microsoft Office and other third party software programs, prioritize and organize information, and work with residents, the general public, and outside contractors.
